What type of relaxation or meditation do you teach?

I have trained and studied in a variety of styles. The course primarily is influenced by Mindfulness & Breathwork but is also flavoured by Taoism, Buddhism & Vedic Meditation.

I've never been able to quiet my mind in meditation. Why will this work for me?

Because the course doesn’t focus on trying to quiet the mind. The initial focus is on relaxing the muscles of the body. When your body is relaxed the mind will naturally become more quiet without you trying. Then it’s a lot easier to move forward with move traditional meditation exercises.

How is this different to other relaxation or meditation courses?

Most relaxation or meditation courses will begin and end with you sitting on a cushion or chair and using your mind to do different techniques. The 12 Minute Relaxation Program is structured differently in that you start on the outside and work in.

The 1st week works with your body to relax the tension from your muscles. A lot of the exercises are movement based, so your not just sitting down.

The 2nd week works with your breath as you begin to experience a more subtle form of relaxation and meditation and the 3rd week works with your imagination and intention so you experience again a subtler and different type of relaxation. After the course you will have learnt different ways to relax your body and calm your mind.

I can't concentrate or sit for more than a few minutes. Will this really help me?

Yes! Each exercise is between 2-12 minutes in length. They are accompanied by very soothing music and your mind is always asked to do something to keep it occupied in a nice, relaxed way. A lot of the exercises are physical as well so for these ones you won’t be asked to sit still.

What happens if my mind wanders?

Great question and something that is very common in relaxation and meditation. In the course I talk about the O.L.O. principle (Ok, Label, Object) which gives you precise instructions to follow when your mind wanders.

Does the course talk about common challenges or difficulties in meditation?

Yes. In module 1, I talk about some of the common obstacles we all face when meditating or trying to relax and how to overcome them.

Is this a subscription plan?
